Google Inc. has asked some producers to delay the launch of the Internet software company based television in the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the plans of the company.Google sent word to some hardware manufacturers last week to ask them not to inform the new products yet, said the delay would allow the company to improve the software, the paper said.
However, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. will continue with the launch of Google TV products at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January, the WSJ said.
Google did not immediately respond to e-mail seeking comment.
